Setting up OctoVPN on PlayStation

in

In this article, we will show you how you can set up OctoVPN on a PlayStation 3, 4 and 5.

Please note: We do not provide support, other than this tutorial. If you are stuck, you can always Google or YouTube. There are plenty of tutorials on the internet, on how to do this.

Requirements:
A laptop, or a desktop with both WiFi & Ethernet Port.
A laptop, or desktop connected to WiFi, and an available Ethernet Port.
A Ethernet cable, that goes from your laptop/desktop Ethernet port and into your system.

STEP 1: Ensure you installed our client and have it ready to connect (but not connected yet).

STEP 2: Either in the windows search section or by pressing the Windows Key + R, paste ncpa.cpl into the box. You will get this screen below. Right click the VPN adapter (the one which says TAP Adapter V9) and go to the Sharing option. Tick the two boxes and select your Ethernet cable leading into your PlayStation 4. Now you may turn on the VPN.

STEP 3: Now, you are all done with the computer portion of sharing the connection. You need to go to settings, then the Network section.

STEP 4: Following the Network section, click on the Set up Internet Connection and select Use a LAN Cable. You may go through with the Easy or Custom selection, whichever you prefer.

STEP 5: Test the connection, if it says Successful on all the options and displays your connection speeds, the last step, which is optional is to check if your IP to make sure you are protected. The website used below is https://geoiplookup.io/ - if it displays the IP on the VPN Software, then you are all set!
